Pure Spanish Horse

Gaucho III.
This extraordinary
horse was born in Spain, in the livestock Señorio de Bariain,
on February 22, 1990 - his dam is Bizarra XIII and his sire, the legendary
Miura stallion Panadero VIII.
From early in his life, it was recognized that this was a special horse,
and his special movement was recognized at SICAB, the prestigious showcase
of Pure Spanish Horses in Sevilla, Spain, where he won "Best Movement"
recognition.
Gaucho III is a half brother (through his sire) to Invasor, a pure Spanish
stallion competing very successfully in Dressage in Europe for the past
three years and on the Spanish National Team. Gaucho also has many points
in the "Book of Merits" in Spain, both for Conformation and
Movement. He was trained by Juan Matute in Madrid, and in a period of
approximately eight months, he mastered almost all of the Grand Prix
movements - quite remarkable - and a testament to the extreme talent
and trainability of this young "giant" whose gaits are all
international quality.
Although
coming from successful competitive endeavors with different breeds,
Janne Rumbough, who is from Denmark, was captivated by this young horse,
and imported him to the USA in 1998. He has been shown in many international
shows (CDI*** -- "Concours Dressage Internationale") here
in the US and has placed high many times. Gaucho always makes the top
12 in the Kur - the "Musical Freestyle" and has made 3rd twice
as well as 5th and 8th placings on the especially competitive Florida
circuit. He is the Region III Prix St. Georges Champion, and the Intermediare
Freestyle Champion. In two years he has qualified for the "Festival
of Champions" at USET (U.S. Equestrian Team) in Gladstone, and
Dressage at Devon, PA. He has so far entered three Grand Prix dressage
classes, and won 2 and placed 2nd in the other.
In 1998 in September, at the Devon Dressage CDI*** and Breed Show, in
a class of 18 stallions of exceptionally recognized sport horse breeds,
Gaucho III was Reserve champion in 4 year old and older stallions in
hand and Reserve Champion 4 year old and older stallions under saddle
in the breeding class for Stallions suitable for dressage. This is one
of the most important Sport Horse classes, at probably the most important
show in the US.
The movement and power of this young horse have won him friends and
fans from all walks of life, judges and competitors alike follow his
progress with passion! He creates a stir wherever he goes, even training
in his home arena. At Devon his fan club called themselves the "Gaucho
Groupies!" He is the horse of a lifetime and a wonderful friend
and partner to his devoted owner, Janne, who aims to make the USET Long
List with him, to compete at Grand Prix, and take him to Europe to compete
amongst the best in the world - as he is amongst the best in the world!!
You will be able to see Gaucho III in person at the following competitions:
The CDI*** at the Dressage Derby on March 3 - 5, 2000
The CDI*** in Wellington, Florida, March 16 - 19, 2000

The Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse is proud to honor one of our
finest sons and to extend our best wishes and support to this rising
